And the day started with the new hound jumping all over my head, hmm. Well that set me up, so what to do today? No game on so lets crack on with some painting! Started with a little airbrushing, but that descended into chaos as firstly the airbrush decided to be temperamental, and the dog has taken a disliking to the sound of the compressor. Right sod that then, time to retire to the upstairs gaming area and throw some paint in a random direction at the Harlequins, with the hope it will splatter on them in a vague diamond pattern, and would you believe it, it didn’t. Well to be honest it was the only way I’m going to be able to manage to paint them with any kind of detail, unless I base them all in light colours and then go at them with pens! Colouring in for gamers! Try it! Bloody fun after a beer or three! Really, diamond patterns on a tiny little toy soldier? Who the hell thought that would be a nice easy scheme to paint? Think I would prefer to stab myself in the eyes with rusty nails! (Or is that because the wife is watching the Brits in the background as I create!)
Tuesday night was a catch-up with some old friends for a board game session, and we played A Touch of Evil, and I really enjoyed it, and as I said in a previous post it swayed me into purchasing Last Night on Earth, and it has now arrived and it looks just as good, (bugger, that now means I must buy all the supplements! Why oh why do we have to buy everything? So many games, so little time..) So when we give it a play I shall let you know my thoughts on it, the only downside so far is Mr Parker and myself will not need to upscale it to a battlefield game, only because I think it would loose the intensity of the board-game.
So next week looms, sure there will be some more gaming news from all us hear at thebattlehammer, but for now I am of to grovel to the wife in the vague hope she buys me the new Bloodthirster!
Cubes of fate, keep rolling them…
